A dead jing jok before breakfast and bugs for lunch, oh my!

There are stoplights here, bet you didn't know that.

We found a very old door with a lock on it.

Day 51:

We've been doing pretty good with Doug getting the kids up, fed and dressed first thing in the morning, while I do my language session with Kruu Jeab. Today, we can only squeeze in 1 hour with her and I decided to let Doug have the hour, thinking I'd have more time.  I should have just done it, because I was so scatter-brained today and kept forgetting to eat breakfast, which would be life-altering except I have to eat to take my pills and it kept getting later and later.  I let the kids play with shaving cream while I caught up on the dishes I FORGOT from yesterday.  We got home after my fun Mother's day outing and I never even went into the kitchen until this morning.  I hate dirty dishes left over night, one of the main things I try really hard to avoid. I *thought* my kids would be so entertained with the shaving cream that I'd easily get them done, but Kora was "all done" when I only had half the dishes done, so she ended up in the sink.  Two birds, one stone, right?  I finish my dishes, she gets cleaned up after the shaving cream adventure. Except she dumped a huge cup full of water all over the counter...not once, no that's not nearly enough, she did it TWICE!  At this point I was hot and on the verge of becoming an episode of "Snapped". So we parked ourselves in the bedroom with the air on, for about 30 minutes. The kids watched "Monkey George" and I caught up on laundry.

She's so quick!

Dripping water mess

I almost forgot this gem:
Blech!

Yep, a dead jing jok I found while trying to fold a monstrous pile of clothes. Doug said he'd "take care of it", but he hadn't quite gotten to it yet and I ended up having a crying episode while trying to work up the nerve to dispose of it myself.  I know, I'm a baby, but God loves me anyway, so there!

Okay, sorry for the aside, so after we cooled down, I showered the kids and we met Alicia for lunch at Pi Meow's, my most favorite Thai food place EVER!  It's right around the corner. Our lunch was two dollars (60 baht): stir fried veggies, garlic chicken, and rice!
On our way to lunch

RICE!!!

She entertained Kora for me, so nice!
For real, RICE!!!

We came home and cooled off in our pool, then it was nap time...thank you LORD.  No really, I needed that break today.  And Miss Kora, after her failed attempt at napping yesterday, took a nice 3 hour nap for me.  Kees painted for the first half hour, played about 10 minutes of ipad, then took a nap himself.
Kees always says, "Songkran" when he splashes.
He's getting good at smiling for me on command.

She's not the best sleeper, but the fan seems to really help.
Painting two pictures at once!

Doug finally came home right as the wind was blowing like crazy and the rain started.  He took a few pictures while he was at pastors meeting today.  He got to meet one of the pastor's new baby girl.  She's a cutie!
LUNCH!

Doug ate bugs at lunch.
Baby girl sleepin.

About an hour later Kora woke up and I let her have a sucker.  Pretty sure I won't be doing that again!  She loved it though.
She found one of daddy's tools and used it as a sucker holder, she was dancing because she was so excited about it, then it fell out.

Those eyes! Love her!

Around 6, we headed to the market and to Pi Noi and Pi Uan's noodle stand for dinner.  Kora was entertained by Pa Noi and Pi Jam, and had a lovely time.  Now we are home, and I have a yucky sinus headache, hope I feel better by tomorrow and that I get a good night of rest!

Eating noodles

He told me that he's a scarecrow.
Doug and Kees bought me cotton candy.  Pretty sure I would not be my dad's daughter if I didn't love cotton candy.

Saying bye bye, sa wa dee ka!
