I found this recipe on allrecipes.com, here.
Ingredients:
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup mini chocolate chips
3/4 cup finely chopped pecans
Directions:
Mix cream cheese and butter. Add both sugars, and vanilla, mix until smooth. Stir in chocolate chips. Chill for at least one hour. Form mixture into a ball, and roll in pecans. Serve with pretzels, nilla wafers, graham crackers, chocolate graham crackers.
Take the basic recipe, the first five ingredients and get creative with it. You could throw some peanut butter and caramel in there. Butterscotch chips would be nice. Any type of nuts you prefer. Toffee bits...delish!
I actually chopped up my chocolate so it would disperse better through out. And instead of pecans (cause I'm hoarding them) I rolled the ball in a mixture of crumbled up chocolate graham cracker and toffee bits. Yum, yum!
This is a cheating way to feel like you're eating turtle cheesecake. Comes together so quickly, and you can skip the "chill in the fridge" part if you're in a hurry. And just serve it as dip, with crumbly goodness of your choice on top.
